About the role

  • Due to the departure of a valued team member, we have the exciting opportunity for a Procurement / Inventory Manager to join our team based in Henderson, Auckland.This is a busy and highly visible role that requires excellent numerical, organisational, and analytical skills. We are searching for a person experienced in Procurement who enjoys forming and maintaining relationships, who is adept at ensuring constant flow of materials and services to keep production flowing smoothly and who can develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the company is gaining the best quality goods and services at the best prices.Should you be successful, your responsibilities will include:
    • Managing inventory levels, including recording in relevant databases.
    • Evaluating and qualify suppliers regarding price, availability, and quality.
    • Leading, managing, and training others around procurement and inventory.
    • Manage and administer relevant documentation for procurement and inventory processes.
    • Maintain and manage stock levels, including managing monthly stock takes.

Skills and experience

  • 5+ years purchasing knowledge and experience in manufacturing, cabinetmaking or hardware environment.
  • Good knowledge of business principles and processes within office systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office applications; intermediate/senior level Excel and ERP in MYOB experience.
  • Very good problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Full current and clean Driver Licence.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
