About the role

  • Due to the internal promotion of a valued team member, we have the exciting opportunity for a Painter to join our team based in Henderson, Auckland.As a Painter at Retail Dimension Ltd you will play a crucial role in our Production Team, ensuring the creation of high-quality finishes while adhering to strict health and safety standards. Your daily tasks will involve a wide range of responsibilities across various functional areas, contributing to the achievement of production targets and maintaining client satisfaction.

    Your key responsibilities include:

    • Mix paint using PPG formulations and tints.
    • Perform precise colour matching to samples.
    • Create samples for client approval.
    • Apply paint skillfully to different substrates, including LWP, MDF, Acrylic, and aluminium.
    • Prepare and paint signage, furniture, and fixtures as required.
    • Maintain the paint booth and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

Skills and experience

  • Essential:
    • Prior experience in painting, including spray painting and material preparation.
    • Strong attention to detail with a consistent standard of finish.
    • Familiarity with various substrates, including LWP, MDF, Acrylic, and aluminium.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing safety rules and procedures.
  • Preferred:
    • Proficiency in numeric and mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
    • Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
    • Post-college education in a relevant field (not essential).
    • Current and full driver’s license (preferred, reliable transport essential).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably within organizations manufacturing merchandising, signage, and display products for business clients.
    • Experience with individually customizing products to meet client orders is a plus.
