CNC Operator

We are a successful New Zealand owned and operated business with a Joinery manufacturing site in Henderson.

• Machinist – CNC operator
• Team of five machinists in a modern clean machine shop
• Production and quality control of day to day works orders.
• Processing work to get optimal efficiency
• Machines include CNC Nesting machines, Modern edgebanders, Beam Saw, Hydraulic Hot Panel Press.
• Communication and reporting to Team Leader on work status
• Attending Work in progress meetings
• Providing constructive feedback to production and design teams
• Machine maintenance scheduling
• Health and Safety

• Excellent Hourly Rate negotiable
• Immediate start
• Permanent work
• Day shift (7.00 am – 3.30 pm) Minimum.
• Overtime at Overtime rates available when required

• 2-3 years’ Experience in operating flatbed CNC and Edgebander in the Joinery/Furniture industry
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret plans
• Great communication skills for interaction with designers and production staff
• Mechanical mind-set, able to spot when a machine needs maintenance
• Ability to work in a team
• Experience programming a CNC machine highly desirable
• Cabinetmaking/Shop fitting/Kitchen making experience
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
• Excellent English skills, written and verbal
• Strong Quality control and an eye for detail
• Health and safety awareness
