About the role
Due to a period of significant, exciting growth, we have the exciting opportunity for a Cabinet Maker / Assembler to join our team based in Henderson, Auckland.
As a Cabinet Maker / Assembler at Retail Dimension Ltd, you will be an integral part of our production team, contributing to the creation of bespoke products that meet our client’s unique requirements. This role demands flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to upskilling to align with evolving production demands.
Your responsibilities include:
- Executing cabinet making and assembly tasks with precision and expertise.
- Proficiently utilising hand tools and equipment for assembling and crafting custom products.
- Interpreting project plans and documentation to ensure accurate assembly.
- Operating specialised machinery and equipment, showcasing technical proficiency.
- Leading and managing projects, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
- Demonstrating flexibility by transferring skills across various functional areas.
- Contributing prior skills and experiences to enhance team capabilities.
- Utilising specialised skills, such as forklift operation, machinery maintenance, or health and safety representation.
- Collaborating effectively with the production team to deliver exceptional results.
- Upholding our commitment to safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Trade qualification or equivalent experience in cabinet making.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably within manufacturing organisations.
- Proficiency in manual skills, including the use of hand tools, assembly, and equipment operation.
- Technical expertise in interpreting plans and documentation for project execution.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to lead and manage projects.
- Adaptability and the capability to transfer skills between functional areas.
- Specialised skills, certifications, or licenses (e.g., forklift operation) are advantageous.
- Effective communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- A current and full driver’s license is preferred, with reliable transportation.
- Post-college education is preferred, along with strong numeric and mathematical skills.
